Robert Stears has built a career in public policy, community advocacy, and organizational support. He began his professional path after earning a BS in political science from American Christian College and later moved into roles that required legislative awareness, public communication, and policy coordination. Today, Robert Stears applies his experience to healthcare nonprofits, with a focus on issues related to organ donation and transplant advocacy.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Stears founded The Strategy Group, LLC, where he worked on legislative strategies for healthcare facilities, transportation agencies, trade associations, and consumer organizations. His responsibilities included monitoring policy developments, coordinating coalition efforts, and communicating with lawmakers and regulatory bodies. During this period, he played a supporting role in securing New Jersey’s first Certificate of Need for cardiac surgery granted to an acute-care hospital in more than a decade. He later established Governmental Strategies, LLC, where he developed media plans, grassroots outreach, and public information materials for clients navigating regulatory and legislative requirements in New York.
In subsequent years, Robert Stears shifted into operational and client-facing roles. He served as office manager at Stears Locksmith and Safe Company, senior account executive with GLR Merchant Funding, and welcome ambassador in the Emergency Department at Bayshore Community Hospital. Since 2020, he has served as a strategic advisor to healthcare nonprofits, where he concentrates on communications and advocacy efforts connected to organ donation and transplant services. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, biking, and supporting charitable and community-focused initiatives.
